The welfare of wild and domestic animals is important. But the welfare of wild animals cannot be assured in the same way as the welfare of domestic animals. Its context is a natural life in the wild, and it is affected by activities required to protect public health, those of farmers and land managers, and wildlife-conservation programmes. The Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management has expertise in this field, and produces publications to give the public, the media, and politicians a better understanding of it.
We welcome donations and support from the public and other organizations to help us continue our work. Donors receive a regular newsletter on our current activities. If you would like to support us, please send an email to info@vawm.org.uk
It should be noted that donors do not have membership of the Association, which is restricted to veterinary surgeons. If you are a vet, or studying to become one, please see below for how to become a member of the Veterinary Association for Wildlife Management.
